Here we discuss numerous examples of test instruments and gadgets that can be built for audio measurement and experimentation. While traditional audio test instrumentation like THD analyzers are discussed, this section also includes what I call purpose-built audio instrumentation. One example of purpose-built instrumentation is an A-B switch box that permits A-B listening comparisons of amplifiers and loudspeakers.
